It is good have use Virtual PC. I run all of my development from an external hard drive hosted inside of a virtual machine. I can either plug in my desktop machine to the drive like I normally do now or connect my laptop and I have access to that development environment. And occasionally I create copies of the environment. It has saved me a ton of time.
Come on you don't need a virtual pc those are too slow.
You should Ghost your machine once you get it set up nicely.
You can have it up and running again in 10 minutes!
When is the last time you used Virtual PC? I use it all the time and it is fine.
